Jamie has over 10 years of experience working with military/veterans and first responder populations. She is a complex trauma and PTSD specialist who is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Therapy (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy proven to reduce symptoms associated with PTSD. Additionally, she has extensive experience with substance abuse, process addictions, and caregiver burnout. She enjoys working with adults, couples, and families including children. 

Jamie serves as the licensed supervisor for the Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue peer support team, providing mental health services including counseling, consultation, and training. She maintains close contact with community providers qualified to treat first responders and serves as a liaison to connect fire rescue personnel with highly trained clinicians and programs.

Glen Aitken is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in trauma, mood disorders, and addiction. Born and raised in Palm Beach Gardens, his father is a retired LT. from Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue. After working in teaching and ministry, Glen joined the US Army, where he served as a Chaplain Assistant. After his service, he received his master’s degree in mental health from Palm Beach Atlantic University. He has worked as a group facilitator, therapist, and clinical director. He specializes in EMDR therapy and other forms of treatment to facilitate health, healing, and well-being.

As part of the EAP, you also have access to a free 30minute consultation with a local attorney or financial counselor on issues such as real estate, retirement planning, divorce and separation, budgeting/debt reconstruction, and trusts and estates. Further legal and tax preparation services are discounted 25 percent

You can also take advantage of Identity Theft Services including a 60minute consultation and a free kit to help you restore your identity if you are a victim of identity theft.

Who pays for these services?

Your company pays all costs when you and members of your household use the program. If additional assistance or services are needed, you will receive referrals that consider your preferences, medical plan, and financial circumstances. Please refer to your insurance plan booklet or your Human Resources department for specific information about your medical plan

How do I access these services?

EAP and WorkLife are convenient, confidential and provided at no cost to you and members of your household. We‘re here 24 hours, seven days a week, so call anytime.
